Waste management strategies

Waste management is a collection, transportation, and disposal of garbage, sewage and other waste products. And also waste management is the process of treating solid wastes and offers variety of solutions for recycling items that do not belong to trash. It is about how garbage can be used as a valuable resource.
Generally, waste could be liquid or solid waste. Both of them could be hazardous. Liquid and solid waste type can also be grouped in to organic, re-use and recyclable waste,
·         Liquid type
·         Solid type
·         Hazardous type
·         Organic type
·         Recyclable type
We used waste management strategies for proper waste management and waste disposal. These are,

v  3R concept (waste hierarchy)
In 3R concept have Reduce, Reuse, Recycle of waste
The expression “3Rs”- reduce, reuse and recycle, is intended to classify waste management in to three key factors relative to suitability in terms of waste reduction. There are many good reasons to reduce, reuse, and recycle. Everything we use consumes resource and potentially must go somewhere once we’re finished with it. Reducing the amount of packaging particularly can have a great impact on environmental damage. Using natural materials can also help.
Reusing products instead of discarding them, finding new potential uses or simple passing them on to others can help save resources and money.
Recycling can be used for most of the items we use on a daily basis. The benefit of recycling can be manifold, including the reuse of materials or even the generation of energy from process such as landfill and combustion.

v  Bin system
Commonly used main three colour for the separate the waste.
Blue- Glass & paper
Orange- Plastic & polythene
Green- Bio degradable waste/food

v  Zero waste system
Zero waste means designing and managing products and process to systematically avoid and eliminate the volume and toxicity of waste and materials, conserve and recover all resources, and not burn or bury them.

v  Pay you throw
v  Sustainable waste management
