Land Conservation Strategies

                                          Land conservation strategies

Land conservation is the process of protecting natural land and returning developed land to its natural state. Due to the fact that some land has only had minor disturbances and other land has been completely destroyed, a variety of techniques are needed to carry out land conservation. Some of the most common techniques include preservation, restoration, remediation, and mitigation. Those techniques can be used as strategies in land conservation.
In our university premise there different strategies that can be seen for land conservation in different places. By those methods, university land can be kept not only in a protective way but also in an attractive and peaceful looking.
Lands and their natural resources should not be consumed by humans and should instead be maintained in their pristine form. Restoration is the process of returning ecosystems and communities to their original natural conditions. Process of cleaning a contaminated area using relatively mild or nondestructive methods is remediation. The main goal of remediation is to clean and restore the contaminated area while causing as little disturbance or harm as possible. Mitigation is the process of replacing a degraded site with a healthy site that is of equal ecological value in a different location.

In this area there is a grass land covering and then can prevent from soil erosion. Because grass catches upper soil layer tightly. Therefore in rainy times it may not easily be damaged for the land. Also it gives better appearance as well.

Also in muddy areas those kind of concrete land tiles are used. It is not better sustainable material but gives more benefits. Because of the concrete surface water does not collect and conserve the land. Then it can be used for various activities such as transporting and it is easy to clean.

Some places in university land are covered from tar and then can be provided strong, water resisting  landing surface. Specially for transporting and for walking areas tar is used.

Also these type of concrete frames have been used some landings in our university and the main benefit is protecting from soil erosion. In rainy times those frame structure prevent soil flowing with water. Further it provides strong landing.
